Ramesses II is one of the newest commander who specializes in archer-type. Below is list of the skills that this legendary commander is equipped with and all of them are impressive. Considering the damage bonuses and boosts that Ramesses II gets from these skills and the talent builds (which we will talk further in details later on in this article), this legendary is poised to become one of the most popular pick among the players in Rise of Kingdoms.

Ceremony of Karnak
Deals continuous damage to a single target, and reducing the target’s defense for 2 seconds.


  • Additional Damage Factor: 500/550/600/700/800
  • Defense Reduction: 5%/10%/15%/20%/25%

Basically, this active skill deals 800 damage per second and reduces the enemy defense by 25%. Which is really powerful considering the defense reduction boosts the normal attack damage. In total, this active skill does 1,600 damage over 2 second. A heavy and sustained blow to the enemy.

Yi Seong-Gye

Yi Seong-Gye is a very good commander to pair with mainly because of his powerful active skill. In addition to that, both will gain 50% damage bonus to active skill. Which means Ramesses II will do 3,000 damage over 2 seconds, an incredible boost to single target damage.

Yi Seong-Gye on the other hand does serious amount of damage to all targets in a circular range. Plus both will be able to benefit from each other on the map with attack, defense and march speed bonus. A solid pair.

If you don’t have this legendary commander yet, then Kusunoki Masashige and Hermann is a good alternative choice.

Artemisia I

Don’t underestimate Artemisia I, for the fact that she is another great commander that does serious amount of damage. Despite the drawbacks that she has for dealing self-damage and boosting enemy active skill damage, they are already mitigated through Ramesses II’s talent builds and skills.

She adds a nice boost to the ability to deal splash damage and provides a sustained damage direct factor. Plus, if she ever gets silenced, then the troops’ damage will increased by 50% while Ramesses II will still deal massive amount of damage.

This pair isn’t something that you should ignore at all. A very powerful combo if done correctly.


If you are looking for a solid commander to support with your conquest in Rise of Kingdoms. Roll with Tomyris as your secondary commander. She is equipped with an active skill that does upwards to 2,200 damage every time.

Bonus point, if you are attacking enemy cities, then the damage of troops attack is increased by 30%. There’s also a small chance on every attack that the troops attack will further increased by an additional 30% and reduce their defense by 30%.

The Tomyris and Ramesses II pair is one of the most powerful conquering pair. Works the best for a true archer-specialization combo.

Mehmed II

Mehmed II Commander Rise of Kingdoms

For some of you who want to be able to command a large military force, Mehmed II expands the troop capacity by 10% and when rallying an army, the size increases to 20%. One of the game advantage that this legendary commander has over other commanders is flexibility and the ability to work with pure army build like archers.

The reason why Ramesses II and Mehmed II works so well together is mainly because both will get 20% skill damage bonus. Which means Ramesses II will deal 2,400 damage with his active skill. Plus, Mehmed II will demolish enemy city defenses thanks to his powerful active skill that has a 50% chance to trigger again for free.

If you are looking for a secondary commander to expand your troop capacity with Ramesses II, Mehmed II is a solid pick. But if you don’t have him yet, roll with Osman I or Scipio Africanus.
